The Pt Chevalier Community Centre is available for use by all members of the community. Our location is excellent for people to meet as we are very close to the North-Western Motorway allowing people to come from all over Auckland to meet at a centrally convenient place. There are a number of lovely cafes in the Pt Chevalier arcade and main road within walking distance of the centre.

The centre has four rooms of different sizes for hire to suit various needs e.g. meetings, classes, social events, children’s birthday parties.

The St Luke’s Community Centre is a place where numerous programmes and activities are run throughout the year for the benefit of the wider community and parish members. There are art, music, education, cooking, and children’s programmes. In addition there are many community groups that hire rooms here, not to mention the 35 counsellors who see clients here.

The centre is suitable for a wide range of activities and services. It has an office that can be hired for groups that need a facility for one or two days. Access to the centre from the north or western motorway is easy from the Patiki Road off ramp.

Parnell Trust

Parnell Community Centre is a very busy place.

Every year thousands of people pass through our doors at the Jubilee Building to participate in community classes and activities; attend meetings, weddings, seminars, church services and numerous other gatherings within the venue; shop at the popular weekly Parnell Farmers’ Market and the new monthly Craft Harvest; visit the Library, seek free advice from Justices of the Peace on Tuesdays, bring their babies to visit Plunket and embark on guided walks to nearby heritage icons.

Within Parnell Community Centre, Parnell Trust offers a rich programme of community classes and activities throughout the year. Parnell Trust also offers a growing programme of classes and activities in Inner City Auckland, for the growing population of residents in the CBD.

Ponsonby Community Centre

This Centre is owned and subsidised by Auckland City Council and is run independently by a Board of local residents and users of the Centre. This is a community facility for the local community. Your interest and input are needed by providing ideas and feedback on activities.

Ponsonby Community Centre Board is the committee that is responsible for governance decisions and has oversight of the smooth running and financial well-being of the Centre. The Board members are elected from the local community at the Annual General Meeting. They have skills in management, finance and governance and have the interests and health of the Centre and its activities at heart.
