Caring for a family member who has a disability is an experience that few families anticipate or plan for. Parent to Parent is here to support families to create good, everyday lives.
Parent to Parent is a nationwide not-for-profit organisation formed in 1983 by a group of parents and professionals. This group believed in the value of parents supporting parents, when faced with the unique joy and challenges of parenting a child with a disability or health impairment.
Parent to Parent supports your family to get through the tough times, think big, and create a good everyday life. Our services are free and confidential.
Parent to Parent’s training programmes for families and whanau are delivered nationwide by specially trained facilitators.
SibSupport NZ is our sibling support programme. The programme provides an experience that will help siblings cope with the challenges of living with a brother or sister who has a disability or health impairment. The SibSupport NZ programmes are delivered in a one-day workshop or as a weekend camp.
