The Remuera Business Association (RBA) is an Incorporated Society that represents business owners and landlords in Remuera town centre. The RBA’s aim is to enhance Remuera and promote economic growth – making Remuera a desirable place to visit, shop, work and invest in. All the businesses in a defined ‘footprint’ are automatically full members of the Association. This includes businesses located along Remuera Road from Armadale Road to St Vincent Avenue, and those at the top of Norana Ave, Clonbern Road and Victoria Avenue. The RBA is funded by a targeted rate on commercial ratepayers within this footprint, which is administered by Auckland Council. The RBA’s Constitution allows for an Executive Committee to govern activities, and a Manager to implement agreed projects.
The Remuera Business Association is part of Auckland Council’s Business Improvement District Partnership Programme, which supports local economic development.
The Remuera Business Association also works closely with the Orakei Local Board who actively support the RBA, liaise with Auckland Council and Auckland Transport on our behalf and assist with funding for local events and improvement projects.
