Youthline works with young people, their families and those supporting young people. Our organisations are made up of volunteer and paid staff members – and we have centres based across the country.

We were established to ensure young people know where to get help and can access support when they need it.  At the core of Youthline’s work is the development of leadership and personal skills in young people. We do this by involving young people; both those who seek assistance and those who wish to develop themselves.

Youthline Auckland Central is based in Grey Lynn/Ponsonby and is home to over fifty paid staff and hundreds of volunteers.

There is so much going on in the centre throughout the day and night, with our Alternative Education School (for young people who have been excluded from mainstream high school), training groups, youth development groups, face to face counselling, and helpline hub.

Youthline’s counselling rooms, group rooms and meeting rooms (equipped with audio visual) are also available to hire, with catering available if required.

From 8.30am through to 5pm come and grab a coffee and a bite to eat at the Youthline Deli – Thyme Out. We sell an assortment of delicious cakes, sandwiches and other treats!
