As Auckland becomes the newest member of the C40 (link is external) Cities Climate Leadership Group, join us to hear Mark Watts talk about the initiatives that cities around the globe are putting in place to reduce greenhouse emissions and climate risks.
With the Paris agreement in place, cities are demonstrating that they have the tools and opportunities to make a practical difference to our shared climate future.
Auckland is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions 40% by 2040. As part of C40, Auckland will be working with more than 80 of the world’s greatest cities, representing 550+ million people and one quarter of the global economy. Sharing research, experiences and ideas, C40 is helping to find and implement innovative solutions.
